BANQUE BANORIENT (SUISSE) SA

Banque Banorient (Suisse) has been providing its clients with first-class Private Banking services ever since its establishment in 1979.

Ever since the start of operations, the Bank has maintained a solid balance sheet with high capital adequacy and liquidity ratios. More importantly, we have always been keen on ensuring complete invulnerability to any geopolitical event in Lebanon or the Middle Eastern region, through a comprehensive ring-fencing policy.

Despite the severe financial crisis affecting Lebanon today, this ring-fencing policy, in conjunction with strict adherence to the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority’s (FINMA) regulations and requirements, has prevented the Bank from acquiring any exposure to Lebanese risk; whether country, sovereign, private or otherwise.

In an effort to emphasize the structural resilience and the independent legal status of the bank which is regulated by FINMA, the Shareholders General Meeting, held on 23 November 2021, decided to change its name from BLOM BANK (Switzerland) SA back to the original and renewed designation of “Banque Banorient (Suisse) SA”.

Our new logo, which represents a shield and a Phoenician ship, was chosen as a symbol of this very resilience and ability to navigate through all kinds of hardships.
